Beside the flash flood that hits one of the districts in the
urban village of Batu Busuak, landslides also buried the West Sumatra city of
Padang.
The landslides covered four houses, two people were found
dead, while two are still in the search. The death toll was immidiately
evacuated and taken to the funeral home to be buried the next day.
Novrizal, the head of Regional Disaster Management Agency of
Padang proclaimed to evacuate the victims. Since the terraing was quite heavy
and the road is narrow to reach the location, the evacuation was halted for
quite a time.
